Poker Aces – learning to play them

[ English ]

Poker Aces refers to two aces being dealt before theflop. It’s the strongest attainable before theflop hand inholdem Poker. But regardless a good many competitors find themselves on the losing end when dealt these cards.

When you are dealt a set of Aces, you just do not fold before theflop. You are sitting with the best achievable hand at this stage of the game. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you simply go all-in? I would say definitely no to that.

Always remember, you are attempting to produce as much money from this strong position. You need to maximise the possibility. Going all-in will merely scare most competitors into folding and not laying a bet.

If you are in the early seat (first or second to wager), you’ll make a single wager. Anybody with a decent hand will call, hopefully someone might raise. If there has been a raise do not spring to re-raise or call, pause for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

Following the flop your course of action will be to eliminate any player that could get a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise boldly, if you’re lucky you’ll fool 1 player into believing that you are faking it.

If you’re in the center or late spot (near the last to wager) you’ll observe as everybody calls and then raise. Even though you are holding a pair of aces, if possible try to avoid a show-down. Protect your hand by making the other players fold after the flop. If you don’t get rid of your competitors you risk squandering your hand.
